Since her teen years, Brenda has enjoyed making her own beauty products using natural ingredients,
freshly picked herbs from the garden, and essential oils. By age 21, she had branched out into chemical free household cleaning products, and by 2014 began Envirobren: a company whose roots are in natural, eco-aware, and cruelty free products.
Always on the lookout for ways to improve personal health, and that of the environment, through simple everyday product choices; after suffering from the pungent fumes of her teenage daughter’s personal sprays, Brenda quickly saw the need for a better option.
While researching underarm care, aluminium and parabens quickly rose to the top of the concerns list. Aluminium has been found to potentially affect estrogen receptors, and parabens, which have weak estrogen properties, can be absorbed through the skin. Both of which could be attributed to the development of breast cancer.
Armed with this knowledge, Brenda forged ahead with her mission to create a natural, aluminium and paraben free deodorant; one that is tested only on humans and has a lighter environmental footprint.

Not wanting to use animal products, Brenda found Candelilla Wax; a vegetable oil derived from the Candelilla plant, which behaves just like beeswax, but is a vegan and sustainable alternative.
Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil came into the mix as natural moisturisers, with coconut Oil having the added benefits of being antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties to protect your armpits.
Vitamin E Oil replaces those parabens, as a natural, plant-based preservative that prolongs the life of the VDeo fragrances. While Tapioca Starch helps to absorb moisture in the armpit area and Sodium Bicarbonate (bicarb soda) neutralises odours.
